Cork-based sporting goods retailer Welch Sports contracted us in August of 2011 to take over management of their popular website, previously operated in two installations of Zen Cart as a catalogue. Welch’s wanted to merge these installations into one and redesign the website with more of a focus on sales. We demonstrated our most recent Magento project and recommended migration to that platform.

Welch’s needed the website migrated quickly, so we imported and merged the data from the two Zen Cart installations and published them on a temporary modified Magento template in mid-August, while our designer worked on a new look for the completed webstore. The completed site went live at the beginning of September, and we continue to work with Welch’s with technical support and advice on new features.

In September of 2012 we rolled out a standalone hockey-focussed website for Welch Sports, HockeyWorld.ie, using the same Magento installation. Both sites can be managed and tracked from the same dashboard.
